Senior Helpers is seeking a dependable and experienced Weekend On-Call Caregiver to support our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who values flexibility while still making a meaningful impact in the lives of seniors.
Position Overview
As a Weekend On-Call Caregiver, you will be scheduled to remain available for one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) to pick up client shifts as needed. This role ensures we can provide consistent, high-quality care to our clients when unexpected needs arise.
Compensation
- $100 flat rate per day for being on-call and available
- $20/hour for any shifts you are assigned and work during your on-call day (paid in addition to the $100)
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, in-home care to seniors
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Offer companionship and support to enhance client well-being
- Respond promptly and professionally when called in for a shift
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification and/or strong hands-on caregiving experience
- Experience using mobility equipment such as Hoyer lifts and gait belts
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel within the Central Iowa area
- Strong communication and time-management skills
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt to last-minute scheduling needs
