Caregiver Trainer/ Coordinator

Job Summary

The Caregiver Coordinator supports caregivers by managing onboarding, training, compliance, retention, and communication to ensure high-quality care and caregiver satisfaction. This is primarily an office-based position with occasional field responsibilities to support caregivers, clients, and operations.

Key Responsibilities

Caregiver Support & Retention

• Serve as the main contact for caregivers and provide ongoing support.
• Conduct regular check-ins and address caregiver concerns.
• Coordinate caregiver recognition programs, birthdays, and appreciation efforts.
• Monitor attendance, reliability, and performance.

Onboarding & Training

• Coordinate caregiver orientation and onboarding. 
• Deliver both orientation and Skills training 
• Ensure all paperwork, signatures, and documentation are complete and accurate.
• Track required training, certifications, and Relias assignments.
• Maintain accurate caregiver records in WellSky.

Compliance & Documentation

Maintain updated records for:

• Background checks
• Annual reviews and supervision
• Training and dementia certifications
• CNA licenses, driver’s licenses, insurance, and First Aid certifications
• Healthcare declarations and competency tests
• Identification, Social Security, and work authorization documents

Scheduling & Coordination

• Assist with caregiver-client matching.
• Communicate regularly with the Scheduling Manager.
• Help resolve scheduling conflicts and coverage needs.
• Participate in on-call duties once per month, including evenings and weekends as assigned.
• Help cover shifts if needed 

Communication & Collaboration

• Act as a liaison between caregivers, clients, and families.
• Partner with HR and leadership on caregiver retention and development strategies.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in home care, healthcare, staffing, or CNA is a must
• Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
• Experience with WellSky and Care Academy preferred.
• Detail-oriented, compassionate, and professional.
