Description
***THIS IS A SUBSTITUTE POSITION*** The Nutrition Driver reports to the Nutrition Director and is responsible for the timely delivery of meals to seniors (Meals on Wheels) throughout the community. Monday through Friday 10am -12:15pm with the understanding that there may be times that you start before 10am or work after 12:15pm depending on the needs of the route/agency. Will work approximately 11 hours and 15 minutes per week.
***This is an on call/fill-in position to assist when the regular Driver is out***
Education/Experience
- Must have a high school diploma
- Must have valid driver’s license with a clean driving history.
Skills
- Ability to drive a vehicle (provided).
- Ability to learn a route and follow directions.
- Ability to minimally interact with seniors in their homes while delivering meals.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with clients and coworkers.
- Ability to sit for long periods of time.
- Ability to maintain an accurate log and collect money from participants as needed.

- Load and unload meals and coolers at the beginning and end of shifts.
