Job Summary
The Finance Director should be self-motivated, capable of multitasking, and possess excellent time management and organizational skills. They must be reliable and dedicated to consistently meeting deadlines. Furthermore, the Finance Director must be detail-oriented to ensure financial information is accurate and correct. This position is professional placement and is part-time, expected to work twenty (20) hours per week.
Responsibilities:
· Collect all program client donations and ensure proper entry under appropriate program designation.
· Make bank deposits weekly.
· Prepare monthly Program Income Report for GRADD.
· Maintain accurate financial and legal records for the Senior Community Center.
· Assist in the preparation of funding proposals for various funding sources.
· Assist in timely submission of accurate bi-weekly, monthly quarterly, or other financial reports, including payroll.
· Maintain confidentiality of all matters related to the Senior Community Center.
· Work with volunteers, other agencies, and staff to ensure smooth accounting procedures.
· Attend all meetings, training, etc. as deemed necessary by supervisor.
· Assist in the fulfillment of the Senior Community Center directives with regards to service delivery.
· Prepare documents for audits timely and accurately.
· Work seamlessly with the Executive Director and Board of Directors.
Qualifications:
· A minimum of five (5) years of accounting/bookkeeping experience, preferably with federal and state contracts in a nonprofit setting.
· Proficiency in QuickBooks.
· Payroll and Accounts Payable experience required.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook is essential.
· Proficiency with standard accounting principles.
· Ability to abide by confidentiality standards.
· Exceptional organizational skills.
· Good communication skills and collaboration with team members are essential.
· Must be able to meet deadlines promptly.
· Must possess a Kentucky driver’s license.
· Professional appearance.
Training:
· On-the-job training
· Agency and role specific orientation
· Staff meetings and conferences
· Training with Green River Area Development District (GRADD) for contractual purposes.
