Senior Care Solutions is a Medicare-certified home health agency committed to delivering exceptional patient care throughout South Florida. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Onboarding & Credentialing Specialist to join our Human Resources team in Boca Raton.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring newly hired clinicians complete all onboarding requirements and maintain compliance with Medicare, state, and agency standards before providing patient care.
Position Summary
The Onboarding & Credentialing Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for new clinical hires throughout the onboarding process. This position is responsible for collecting and reviewing required employment documentation, verifying professional licenses and certifications, monitoring continuing education requirements, and ensuring all compliance requirements are met prior to employee start dates.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the onboarding process for all newly hired clinical staff.
- Collect, review, and track all required onboarding documentation.
- Verify active professional licenses, certifications, CPR/BLS, and other required credentials.
- Monitor and track required continuing education (CEUs) and annual compliance training.
- Ensure employees complete all pre-employment requirements before being cleared to work.
- Maintain accurate employee credential and compliance files.
- Communicate regularly with new hires regarding outstanding documentation and onboarding requirements.
- Work closely with Recruiting, Human Resources, and Clinical Leadership to ensure timely onboarding.
- Schedule employees for orientation and required training sessions.
- Monitor license, certification, and document expiration dates and request renewals as needed.
- Maintain accurate records within agency systems and electronic personnel files.
- Ensure compliance with Medicare, AHCA, HIPAA, and agency policies.
- Assist with audits and accreditation surveys by maintaining organized credential files.
- Perform additional HR and onboarding support duties as assigned.
- Previous experience in healthcare onboarding, credentialing, Human Resources, compliance, or medical office administration preferred.
- Home Health or Medicare experience is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of healthcare licensing, certifications, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Outstanding communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Experience with Paycom, WellSky/Kinnser, or similar HR/EMR systems is a plus.
