Job Summary
Our residential assisted living homes specialize in care of individuals with early to moderate dementia. We are looking for a compassionate individual to act as the administrator of our small homes. The ideal candidate will have previous medical experience as an MA or experience as a group home house manager with an associates degree. Certification as an administrator is required within 30 days of hire. The administrator takes an active role in the daily care of our clients. Additionally this role requires knowledge of Montana regulations governing assisted living homes and the ability to ensure that the home is in compliance of such regulations. Individuals with experience running a large household including budgeting, menu planning and food preparation, light maintenance and house work, communication with health professionals and family, and a commitment to resource management would do well in our organization.
Duties
- Provide assistance with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor residents' health and well-being and develop appropriate service plans
- Support residents with medication management, review all MAR's for accuracy
- Engage residents in social activities and recreational programs
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment for residents, complete/schedule regular maintenance and record in appropriate logs
- Know governance regulations and establish practices to maintain compliance
- Build and manage staff schedules to support a positive work environment for all employees
Skills
- Experience working with people with cognitive disabilities
- Knowledge of dementia care practices
- Ability to supervise and support residents and staff effectively
- Understanding of budgeting and financial acumen related to retirement home care
- Familiarity with home and community care services
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassion, empathy, and patience in caring for residents
