What You'll Do
As a Cook / Dietary Aide, you'll help provide residents with nutritious, high-quality meals while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming dining environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare and assemble resident meal trays according to physician-ordered diets and menu guidelines.
- Deliver meals and snacks to resident units while ensuring timely and accurate service.
- Assist with food preparation, including beverages, sandwiches, desserts, and other meal items.
- Help maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the kitchen, dining areas, and dishwashing stations.
- Operate the dish machine and properly clean, sanitize, and store dishes, utensils, and equipment.
- Assist cooks and dietary staff with meal preparation and special events as needed.
- Stock food and kitchen supplies while helping maintain organized storage areas.
- Follow all food safety, infection control, and sanitation standards to ensure a safe environment for residents and staff.
What We're Looking For
- Previous food service, dietary, restaurant, or healthcare experience preferred, but not required
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
