What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Fabrication Mechanic position at Seneca Tank?
Summary
Reporting to the Dealership Manager, the incumbent will be diagnosing, repairing, wrenching, with a heavy workload of welding, and fabricating at the service facility.
Supervisory Responsibility

Essential Job Functions
Performing welding to ASME code standards
Diagnose structural and operational problems
Removal and re-installation of parts and systems
Fabrication that includes prepping material and creating support braces and brackets
Pressure testing unit to ensure DOT compliance of vessel
Order and replace failing parts
Other duties as assigned
Required Competencies
Ensure compliance with Company Safety, OSHA, R-Stamp, and DOT policies/regulations by all personnel
Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) affecting Production
5S Standard Executed
Clocked into the correct jobs
Ensures quality assurance with welding and fabrication on the tank

Required Qualifications
Able to certify with MIG/ TIG welding on Aluminum and Stainless steel
Capable of performing confined space welding
Strong fabrication skills (cut, bend, straighten metal)
Working knowledge of Tanker Trucks
Able to diagnose and repair leaking tanks
Able to apply appropriate welding techniques
Physical Demands
Position requires ability to pass DOL requirements of a grade 4 heavy work physical capacity profile. This includes exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly.
Visual requirements include clarity of vision at a distance of more than 20 inches and less than 20 feet without correction, color vision, depth perception and field of vision
Must be able to perform the following physical activities: Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motions
Safety
Follow U.S. Department of Transportation (D.O.T) regulations regarding petroleum tanks, trailers, and box vans, as well as the policies found in Seneca Tank's Safety Manual
Special Conditions Of Employment
Job holder is required to provide their own work hand tools.
Upon receiving a conditional offer of employment, job candidates are required to pass a pre-employment physical and drug-screen
