Key Responsibilities
- Create and revise engineering drawings using AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
- Produce diagrams, schematics, layouts, and multi-view drawings to scale
- Develop foundation plans, grounding plans, structural/steel drawings, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams
- Prepare one-line diagrams, AC/DC drawings, and equipment arrangement drawings
- Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and technical data
- Perform basic mathematical and geometrical calculations to support design accuracy
- Maintain drawing files and engineering documentation
- Support engineers and senior designers with project deliverables
- Revise drawings based on internal and client feedback
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1–2 years of technical school training in drafting/design technology or equivalent practical experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
- Strong PC skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Understanding of drafting standards and engineering drawing principles
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
- Experience producing engineering-quality drawings in civil or electrical environments
- Exposure to utility, substation, or infrastructure design projects
- Familiarity with documentation control and CAD standards
