Position Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Scrum Master and Development Delivery Manager to lead Agile software development projects in Plano, TX. This role is essential for facilitating agile processes, managing resource allocation, and ensuring delivery excellence across a mix of onshore and offshore development teams. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of guiding teams through Scrum practices, tracking delivery metrics, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate all Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate closely with product owners to maintain a well-prioritized backlog and clear project objectives.
- Assist in estimating and planning sprints and releases with accuracy.
- Identify and proactively remove impediments to ensure smooth team progress.
- Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within Agile teams.
- Coach team members on Agile best practices and Scrum methodology.
- Track performance metrics such as burn-down charts, velocity, cycle times, and KPIs; report team health and delivery status.
- Manage stakeholder communication, project risks, and dependencies effectively.
- Operate within hybrid Waterfall and Agile frameworks, managing quarterly delivery goals.
- Monitor and improve cross-team flow efficiency, reduce latency, and mitigate risks related to dependencies and decision-making.
Top Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar Agile certification.
- Extensive experience leading Agile delivery in software development projects.
- Strong understanding of Agile principles, Scrum, and SDLC.
- Proven ability to track and optimize delivery metrics and capacity utilization.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency with Agile tools such as Jira, Trello, or Confluence.
- Experience working with distributed teams (onshore, nearshore, offshore).
- Ability to navigate complex project environments and coach diverse teams.
Preferred:
- Experience in consulting or client-facing professional services.
- Knowledge of other Agile frameworks like DevOps, Kanban, or SAFe.
- Technical background or familiarity with software development practices and technologies.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
