Join a dynamic team as a Category Manager supporting VCU Health Systems in a remote, on-site role based in Richmond, VA. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced healthcare procurement professionals to lead strategic sourcing initiatives, negotiate contracts, and build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders. You will play a key role in managing contractual processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting the organization’s mission to deliver exceptional patient care and innovative health solutions. Top Requirements:

• 3 years of progressive healthcare experience leading negotiations, solicitations, pricing agreements, and bid proposals independently.
• Proven track record in contract preparation, redlining, processing, and maintenance in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Experience building and maintaining relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders to achieve organizational goals.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2 years in sourcing and contracting functions, including negotiating terms and conditions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• High integrity, professionalism, and discretion in handling sensitive information.
• Excellent project management and multitasking skills, with the ability to work independently and proactively.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with healthcare-specific sourcing systems, such as Workday Strategic Sourcing, is preferred.
• Certifications in procurement, legal studies, or related fields are a plus.
