What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Machinist position at Seneca Manufacturing?
Job Summary:
We’re looking for a skilled and reliable CNC Set-Up/Operator to join our team in a fast-paced, job-based machine shop. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with CNC mills and/or lathes, can read blueprints, set up jobs independently, and is committed to quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes
- Load and inspect parts to ensure they meet specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and setup sheets
- Make tool changes and offsets as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Work independently and as part of a team to meet production goals
Requirements:
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Basic knowledge of G&M codes is a plus
- Must be dependable and have a good attitude
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
