What are the responsibilities and job description for the Landscape Installation Foreman position at Seneca Landscapes Inc.?
Landscape & Site Operations Foreman
Large-Scale Community Development | High-End Landscape Operations
The Opportunity:
We are seeking a high-caliber, hands-on Landscape Operations Foreman to lead daily field work and manage team members on large-scale projects within an exclusive, high-end commercial portfolio. This is not a "mow-and-blow" circuit; it is a sophisticated supervisory role focused on premium landscaping, intricate hardscaping, and total site stewardship.
In this role, you will work closely with the leadership team, receiving hands-on support in project management, equipment logistics, and high-level horticultural standards.
Primary Responsibilities
● Estate Stewardship: Lead daily field operations for premier commercial and residential landscapes, ensuring "resort-quality" standards across all softscape and hardscape installations.
● Heavy Equipment Mastery: Expertly operate and oversee the maintenance of a modern fleet, including Skid Steers, Compact Track Loaders (CTLs), Mini Excavators, and Trenchers.
● Facilities Integration: Support leadership in managing all field aspects—beyond just turf and plants—to include hardscape repairs, drainage systems, and site infrastructure.
● Team Leadership: Act as the "Player-Coach" for your crew, maintaining high morale, enforcing PPE protocols, and conducting daily safety briefings.
● Operational Coordination: Manage equipment logistics, monitor daily maintenance schedules, and proactively communicate project milestones to the leadership team.
What We Are Looking For
● Experience: 2–5 years of experience in landscape construction or site management, with a track record of handling high-end properties.
● Technical Skill: Proficiency in operating heavy landscape machinery and a solid understanding of construction/hardscape fundamentals.
● Leadership Mindset: A proactive problem-solver who takes "extreme ownership" of the property and makes sound decisions in the field.
● Physical Stamina: Ability to work outdoors year-round and perform physical tasks (lifting 50 lbs) alongside the team.
● Credentials: Valid NC Driver’s License with a clean record and the ability to pass a background check.
Preferred Qualifications
● Formal Education: Degree or certification in Horticulture, Turfgrass Management, Construction Management, or a related field.
● Aspiration: A strong desire to learn the operational "back-end" of the business directly from leadership.
The Perks
● Growth: Site training/support and exposure to complex property management.
● Stability: Year-round work on a prestigious, stable commercial contract.
● Benefits: Comprehensive package including 401(k), Medical, Dental, Vision, and Paid Time Off (PTO).
