Great Hill is seeking a Staff Accountant to support our federal client.
Basic Qualifications:
- Three (3) years of experience in accounting, with at least one (1) year in federal or DoW government accounting
- Experience performing account reconciliations across budgetary and proprietary accounts
- Experience preparing and processing journal entries in a federal financial accounting system
- Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and federal accounting standards
- Experience supporting financial statement preparation, including compilation of supporting documentation
- Experience gathering and packaging documentation for audit samples or data calls
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing
Desired Skills:
- Experience with GFEBS or other DoW enterprise financial systems
- Experience supporting PBC package preparation for external auditors
- Progress toward CPA, CDFM, or CGFM certification
- Experience with automated reconciliation tools or data analytics (e.g., Google Colab, Apps Script)
