Seneca Holdings is looking to hire a Senior Director of Business Development to support our corporate business development team. 

The Senior Director of BD will be responsible for leading the entire opportunity lifecycle, from identification of new opportunities to contract award, and engagement post award as necessary with a focus on the Intelligence and Federal Civilian markets. To be successful, they will need to strategically balance the pursuit of 8(a) sole-source awards, HUBZone opportunities, opportunities through government-wide acquisition contract (GWAC) vehicles such as OASIS and 8(a) STARS III and competitive awards/set asides for both products and services. The Senior Director of BD will also proactively support the other BD team leaders in pursuit of their opportunities where their skills, expertise and background will be useful. Integrating into the existing BD team, leading the pursuit of new opportunities and supporting the other BD team members will be critical to success.

Responsibilities and Expected Outcomes:

  • Within defined timeframes, deliver on milestones for targeted values in new service contract awards with expected margin.
  • Develop a strategy and marketing materials to demonstrate integrated capabilities across SNG in an area of specialization that matches your background/skills.
  • When awarded, lead effort to leverage OASIS , 8(a) STARS III, and/or other available GWACs.
  • Immediately, become a key member of the BD team and support strategic decision-making for future growth.
  • Support the development of other “verticals”, depending on areas of expertise

 Qualifications:

  • Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required;
  • 10-15 years of relevant experience in proposal management and business development activities
  • At least one area of specialization  (e.g., specific market or agency, technology, or functional area) that will provide focus to a portion of your BD efforts.
  • Experience leading key personnel searches for competitive bids
  • Successful record of capturing new business awards with federal agencies
  • Experience leading and supporting new business efforts; ability to support other opportunities with other BD team members
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience supervising and leading a team
  • Well-organized, attentive to detail, skilled in setting priorities and meeting deadlines, and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Preferred:

  • PMP certification
  • MBA or Masters’ Degree
