What are the responsibilities and job description for the High School Counselor position at Seneca High School?
Seneca R-7 School District is seeking a High School Counselor for the 2025-2026 school year. Seneca R-7 is a PLC community and operates on a four-day school week. Applicants must have a valid and appropriate Missouri certification for Guidance and Counseling. The Counselor will serve students in grades 9-12 (approximately 450 students). Applicants should be familiar with ICAP, district testing, and state testing. Applicants will assist with online courses, creating master schedules, EOC, ACT, and AP testing, and post-secondary planning for technical and college settings. They will also be familiar with core data and reporting. Applicants will consult with teachers, students, staff, and parents, providing resources to them as needed.
