JOB FUNCTION:
The Slot Technician is responsible for assisting the Slot Technical Shift Manager or the Slot Operations Manager with day-to-day maintenance and repair of all slot machines within the Slot Operations Department. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of Seneca Gaming and Entertainment’s policies and procedures, NIGC Minimum Internal Control Standards, and SGA Tribal Internal Control Standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Works closely with technicians from slot machine vendors to ensure proper repair and replacement of parts when needed.
2. Approves remote access and keeps records of remote access requests.
3. Trouble shoots daily problems involving slot machines and other related equipment.
4. Trains Slot Operations Supervisor(s) on the daily maintenance of slot machines.
5. Performs daily testing and maintenance of slot machines.
6. Prepares proper paperwork to be submitted to Seneca Gaming Authority for gaming machine removals/additions/changes.
7. Attends bi-weekly conference calls, meetings, and trainings when requested.
8. Works on special projects when needed.
9. Does meter readings when needed.
10. Ensures that the floor footprint is up-to-date.
11. Works closely with Vendor personnel to make sure all working relations are harmonious.
12. Works closely with Seneca Gaming Authority preparing paperwork for approval of gaming machine projects.
13. Responsible to Return Merchandise Authorization (RMS’s) forms pertaining to player tracking and other vendors.
14. Preforms minor repairs on machines when no vendor technician is assigned to facility.
15. Investigates patron machine disputes.
16. Works with IT Department to ensure proper communication with Data Lines.
17. Works with Financial department to ensure reporting is accurate.
18. Daily floor checks to ensure all machines are in ‘play’.
19. Coordinates projects with Finance Count Team.
20. Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age or older upon employment. Associate’s Degree in Computer Programming/Technology or a combination of education and experience. Must possess excellent computer skills. Must be able to perform accurately under pressure. Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
