Senders Pediatrics, an independent pediatric practice, is currently seeking a Revenue Cycle Manager. Position Overview: The Revenue Cycle Manager is a key leadership role responsible for the financial and operational aspects of the business. The Revenue Cycle Manager will collaborate with all departments in the practice and the leadership team to optimize financial results in revenue cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, run, and monitor revenue cycle reports Analyze, and manage the department using revenue cycle key metrics for measuring results. Proactively identify opportunities, successfully address issues including quantifying impact, root cause resolution, and any follow up actions required.
  • Successfully communicate with team, leaders, operational departments and clinical departments; Document and use reporting / metrics where appropriate.
  • Effectively set and manage to operational and financial goals that are quantified and measurable.
  • Identify issues affecting revenue cycle results including collections, efficiencies, patient satisfaction, quality and effectiveness of processes.
  • Optimize automated solutions to reduce manual work, redundancies and errors, and increase financial results.
  • Weekly monitor provider outstanding documentation, charge entry, deposits and payment posting timeliness; Escalate issues to leaders as appropriate should barriers or issues be causing potential financial impact.
  • Serve as the billing liaison to the office’s Management and Strategic Planning teams, working with colleagues to develop policies and procedures that help achieve and grow the financial goals of the organization
  • Investigate and resolve issues at root cause through training and education of staff, payer relations, vendor oversight and collaboration, cross-departmental teamwork, and escalation and assistance from leadership as appropriate.
  • Lead direct reports through continuous feedback, setting realistic goals and monitoring achievement, training and education, and demonstrating management with accountability.
  • Perform staff oversight including work assignments, expectations, PTO requests, attendance records, payroll approval, continuous performance feedback with documentation, and annual reviews per the practice policy. Execute improvement plans for employees not meeting expectations and goals, and work collaboratively with HR to document and execute appropriate follow up and next steps.
  • Effectively address escalated patient calls, provider input, payer issues, inter-departmental working relationships, and department collaboration concerns.
  • Proactively and consistently manage revenue cycle vendor relationships including standing calls, tracking tasks to resolution, education on new releases and functionality, and managing to agreed-upon metrics for performance
  • Oversee workflow status to ensure staff are on track to meet end of day, end of month, end of quarter, and end of year processing so that financial metrics are accurate.
  • Stay abreast of industry changes, payer rules, reimbursement increases or decreases and effectively communicate the changes and impact to necessary practice teams.
  • Attend local, vendor, or national conferences as agreed upon by management.
  • Adhere to compliance and HIPAA guidelines and rules at all times, escalating any risk or issue to leadership immediately.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of full revenue cycle
  • Business and financial acumen with ability to lead and drive results using key performance metrics
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all departments, providers, all levels of staff, and leadership
  • Leadership, planning, and organizational skills
  • Able to summarize and communicate findings and plans in a timely and effective manner
  • Competent at managing multiple priorities/projects simultaneously
  • Effectively builds strong relationships, fosters teamwork, and influences decision-making at multiple levels
  • Technically proficient in all Microsoft applications

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5 Years of private practice revenue cycle operations experience
  • Has managed direct, local and remote staff up to 10 employees

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
