This role is critical in ensuring precise layout and measurement across a range of civil construction sites. This role is critical in ensuring precise layout and measurement across a range of civil construction sites. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform site surveys and construction staking for earthwork, foundations, utilities, and structural components
- Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications
- Set control points, benchmarks, and layouts to support grading, excavation, and concrete operations
- Operate survey instruments including GPS, total stations, and data collectors
- Provide accurate field data to project managers, superintendents, and engineers
- Track as-built conditions and update survey records throughout the project
- Coordinate with field teams to ensure proper alignment and elevations
- Maintain and calibrate survey equipment regularly
- 3 years of field survey experience in civil construction (utility-scale energy, earthwork, or site development preferred)
- Proficient with Trimble, Leica, or Topcon survey systems
- Strong understanding of horizontal and vertical control, cut sheets, and construction sequencing
- Ability to work independently and troubleshoot issues on active job sites
- Familiarity with Civil 3D and field data processing tools
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites across the U.S.
- Survey certification or associate’s degree in surveying, engineering technology, or related field
- Experience supporting solar, wind, or substation projects
- Drone License
- Work on high-impact infrastructure and energy projects
