As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will lead the reliability, scalability, and operational excellence of SendCutSend’s application infrastructure. This is a hands-on technical role focused on scaling and strengthening our cloud environment, standardizing deployment practices, and building resilient systems that support our rapidly growing business. A key near-term priority for this role is leading the migration of our core applications. You will design and implement scalable cloud architecture, improve CI/CD pipelines, enhance monitoring and alerting, and ensure safe, low-downtime deployments across multiple environments. You will work closely with Engineering and IT to create a secure, reliable, and repeatable platform that supports our production systems.

What You’ll Do
- Lead the migration of core applications
- Evaluate, design, and own the deployment methodology that best fits our development workflow
- Own and evolve CI/CD pipelines (currently in GitHub Actions) to standardize build, test, and deployment patterns
- Improve rollout safety through health checks, automated verification, and streamlined rollback procedures
- Expand health check and monitoring capabilities across production systems
- Implement actionable alerting for memory, CPU, latency, error rates, etc.
- Evaluate compute strategies (EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda) for performance and cost
- Partner with IT to diagnose and resolve connectivity and reliability issues of on-prem machines
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- Strong experience designing and operating scalable AWS infrastructure
- Proven experience migrating infrastructure of production applications
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions and CodePipeline)
- Experience with deployment strategies such as blue/green and canary
- Strong understanding of monitoring, logging, metrics, and alerting best practices
- Ability to debug production issues across infrastructure and application layers
- Clear and effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across Engineering and IT
- Background working with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Cloudformation)
- Experience with container orchestration (ECS, EKS)
- Experience improving system reliability in high-growth environments
- Experience scaling infrastructure to meet growing production demand
- Ability to read application code (Ruby/Rails) to debug issues across the stack
- Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time
- Ability to use a computer, phone, and other standard office equipment
- Ability to move throughout an office and manufacturing environment as needed
- This role is based onsite in a fast-paced, collaborative environment that requires consistent communication, organization, and coordination across cross-functional teams.
- The position may require time spent in or around a manufacturing facility with exposure to moderate noise, moving equipment, and industrial conditions.
