What You’ll Do

What You’ll Do
- Manage the Press Brake department schedule, ensuring optimal personnel coverage to meet production demands, including strategic management of labor hours and overtime worked by all staff.
- Effectively and efficiently perform press brake operations, ensuring all parts meet company standards, and demonstrate knowledge of startup, shutdown, and routine maintenance of assigned equipment
- Collaborate with the Post Production Manager & Operations Director on a daily basis, promptly addressing any production-related issues and playing a key role in refining bending guidelines
- Conduct training, coaching, and development of staff members
- Assist Support Agents with customer questions related to bending and other technical issues, as needed
- Manage job flow, addressing past due and current jobs, communicate delays, and prioritize production based on daily workflow, providing guidance to staff for timely order completion
- CNC press brake experience
- Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
- Basic knowledge of CNC systems
- Ability to interpret flat pattern layouts of parts
- Ability to operate press brake equipment, including startup, shutdown, and routine maintenance
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to prioritize workflow to meet production deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- 2 years of supervisory experience
- Experience collaborating with production or operations leadership
- Familiarity with bending guidelines and process improvement initiatives
- Experience managing tooling inventory
- Experience supporting customer technical inquiries related to bending
- Ability to repeatedly lift 25 lbs and lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand and walk for 10 to 12 hour shifts
- Ability to bend, reach, and work around large industrial equipment
- Manufacturing and production floor environment
- Work performed around CNC lasers, press brakes, and material handling equipment
- Exposure to noise, moving machinery, and metal materials
- Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
