Send It Same Day Delivery is looking for a reliable and responsible Local Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for picking up and delivering packages to local customers safely, accurately, and on time while providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Pick up and deliver packages to local customers and businesses.
- Follow assigned delivery routes and schedules.
- Load and unload packages safely and carefully.
- Verify delivery addresses and package information.
- Use GPS and navigation tools to plan efficient routes.
- Provide professional and friendly customer service.
- Obtain delivery confirmations when required.
- Maintain accurate delivery records.
- Keep the delivery vehicle clean and organized.
- Follow all traffic laws and company safety procedures.
- Report delivery issues, delays, or vehicle problems to management.
- Perform other delivery-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
- Previous delivery or driving experience is preferred.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Comfortable using GPS and smartphone navigation apps.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move packages as needed.
- Knowledge of local roads is a plus.
Schedule
