The Senath Housing Authority is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to serve as Executive Director. This position is responsible for the overall administration, supervision, and daily operations of the Housing Authority.
Position Summary
The Executive Director is employed by and reports directly to the Board of Commissioners and shall be responsible for the overall supervision of the operations and activities of the Housing Authority.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Executive Director shall:
- Administer and oversee all programs, operations, and activities of the Housing Authority.
- Implement policies and directives established by the Board of Commissioners.
- Demonstrate the ability to deal satisfactorily with residents, employees, governmental agencies, contractors, and the public.
- Administer the public housing program in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Ensure compliance with HUD requirements and other applicable regulations.
- Establish and execute effective management and maintenance procedures for Housing Authority properties and operations.
- Maintain the books of accounts and ensure accurate financial records and reporting.
- Prepare budgets, reports, and other documentation as required.
- Supervise staff, contractors, and maintenance operations.
- Ensure Housing Authority properties are maintained in a safe, sanitary, and efficient condition.
- Attend meetings of the Board of Commissioners and provide operational updates and recommendations.
- Perform all other duties necessary to operate and manage the Housing Authority effectively and efficiently.
Qualifications
Applicants should possess:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or experience in public administration, business management, housing management, or a related field is preferred
Employment Information
- Part-Time/ 30 hours per week
- Salary: Based on qualifications and experience
- Benefits include two (2) weeks of paid annual leave and paid time off for federally recognized holidays.
