Primary Purpose
Oversees professional investigators and operational plans for ethics programs. Ensures compliance with internal policies and external regulations while promoting best practices and continuous improvement within the team. This position is responsible for the effective operation and continuous improvement of Sempra’s Ethics & Compliance Helpline. Oversees processes, system functionality, data quality, and reporting to ensure concerns are handled consistently and timely. Partners with IT and vendors on system enhancements and maintains data integrity. Supervises team operations and manages sensitive information with discretion and sound judgment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversees the day-to-day operations of reporting, case management, and issue resolution processes, including intake, assessment, assignment, tracking, and resolution activities.
- Develops, implements, and maintains operational processes, procedures, and standards to support consistency, efficiency, effectiveness, and quality outcomes.
- Reviews complex or sensitive matters and provides guidance, recommendations, or escalation support in accordance with established policies, procedures, and requirements.
- Ensures compliance with internal policies, governance requirements, and applicable regulatory standards and recommends improvements to enhance program effectiveness.
- Develops and maintains reports, dashboards, metrics, presentations, and other materials to support decision-making, stakeholder communications, and program oversight.
- Monitors and maintains data quality, documentation standards, and recordkeeping practices to support accurate reporting and informed business decisions.
- Oversees and develops team members, promotes best practices and awareness of emerging trends, and manages workload distribution, resources, and priorities to meet service, quality, and operational objectives.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education
Required:
- Typically requires a 4 year degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
Preferred:
- Degree in Business, Human Resources, Legal Support, Compliance, Information Systems or a related field is desired, or equivalent experience.
Experience
Required:
- Typically requires 5 years of related experience.
- Must reside in Southern California or be willing to relocate upon hire.
Preferred:
- Some experience in Human Resources, Labor Relations or a similar field or experience in a risk and compliance field is preferred. Experience working in, and managing complex data and creating dashboards, is preferred.
