Duties and Responsibilities
* Provide legal support in all aspects of project finance transactions, including structuring, negotiating, and closing debt and equity financing for large scale LNG and energy infrastructure projects.
* Oversee mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and strategic investments, from initial due diligence through integration and post-closing governance.
* Manages, coordinates, implements and monitors legal services to the Business Unit to facilitate and achieve Business Unit objectives, including working closely with internal and external counsel, along with the senior managers to ensure efficient execution of complex, time sensitive transactions.
* Develop and implement best practices, templates, and transaction playbooks to enhance efficiency, risk mitigation, and governance in project finance and M&A activities.
* Creates innovative legal solutions to facilitate business growth while managing compliance and risk exposure.
* Leads the provision of legal advice on aspects of strategic initiatives while driving cross-functional alignment.
* Resolves disputes with regulatory agencies, ensuring compliance while minimizing financial penalties and reputational damage.
* Develops contract templates and negotiation strategies for standard and high-risk business agreements.
* Oversees and develops legal strategies and coordinates with external counsel to resolve disputes.
* Advises on employment law, intellectual property, data protection, and general corporate matters.
* Implements a structured system for legal documentation.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
