Develops and refines engineering solutions for components and subsystems, ensuring technical integrity and efficiency. Plays a key role in identifying design improvements, resolving technical challenges, and supporting implementation of best practices to enhance reliability and performance.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Evaluates operational data to detect patterns and recommend optimizations.
- Assists in preparing engineering drawings, layouts, and technical specifications for new projects.
- Analyzes project and operational expenditures to suggest more cost-effective engineering solutions.
- Performs calculations related to load, flow rates, material strength, and other technical parameters.
- Assesses design drawings and provides recommendations to ensure compliance with project goals.
- Helps develop asset lifecycle plans for aging infrastructure and optimize replacement schedules.
- Leverages engineering software and data analytics tools for better decision-making.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education
- Typically requires a 4 year degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related discipline (or equivalent combination of education and relevant LNG/industrial field experience).
- Typically requires 5 years of related experience.
- Preferred: 3 to 7 years of electrical field engineering or construction experience on industrial facilities, preferably LNG, gas processing, petrochemical, or similar.
- Client representative experience on LNG or comparable heavy industrial projects (LNG, gas processing, petrochemical, refinery, large terminals), supporting construction from install through turnover/startup.
- Demonstrated experience supporting process power distribution (MCCs, switchgear, motor feeders) and field execution problem-solving.
- Engineering Design - A series of steps that engineers follow to find a solution to a problem.
- Troubleshooting - The systematic process of diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, or network issues to restore normal operation.
- Data Analysis - Measuring and managing organization data, identifying methodological best practices and conducting statistical analyses.
- Equipment Maintenance and Repair - Any process used to keep a business's equipment in reliable working order, including routine upkeep as well as corrective repair.
- Engineering Blueprint/Schematics Interpretation - Reading Engineering drawings and understanding the ideas and information that they are intended to communicate.
- Root Cause Analysis - The process of discovering the root causes of problems in order to identify appropriate solutions.
- Regulatory Compliance - Ensuring an organization's adherence to laws, regulations, guidelines and specifications relevant to its business processes.
- Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Management - The systematic approach to maintain health and safety at occupation and protect the environment.
- Project/Program Management - The process of leading the work of a team to achieve goals and meet success criteria at a specified time.
- Asset Management - A systematic process of developing, operating, maintaining, upgrading, and disposing of assets in the most cost-effective manner (including all costs, risks and performance attributes).
Salary : $115,500 - $182,500
