Role Summary:
The Office IT Technician will be responsible for assisting the IT department with daily support, maintenance, and improvement of all office technology systems. This includes managing computers, networks, printers, software applications, and user accounts. The technician will ensure system reliability, security, and smooth business operations while providing prompt, professional support to internal staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day IT support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain computers, servers, printers, and related equipment.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights across systems.
- Maintain data backups, disaster recovery processes, and cybersecurity protocols.
- Monitor system performance and implement upgrades, patches, and updates as needed.
- Liaise with external IT vendors and service providers when specialized support is required.
- Track hardware and software assets, licenses, and procurement needs.
- Provide basic training to staff on technology tools, security best practices, and IT policies.
- Document IT systems, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field preferred.
- 2 years of IT support or systems administration experience.
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, networking (LAN/WAN, routers, switches), and Microsoft 365.
- Experience with data backup tools, antivirus systems, and security configurations.
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A , Network , Microsoft, or Cisco) are a plus.
