We're looking for an ambitious Junior Interior Designer who is eager to grow into a Lead Interior Designer. This is a client-facing role for someone who enjoys both the creative and technical sides of interior design and wants to learn from an experienced luxury residential design team.

About the Role
You will work alongside our Lead Interior Designers throughout every phase of luxury residential projects from initial concepts through final installation.
You'll assist with design development, technical drawings, construction documentation, client meetings, project coordination, presentations, and installation preparation while gaining hands-on experience that prepares you for future leadership opportunities.
This is not simply an administrative position. You will actively contribute to the design process while developing the technical, creative, and client relationship skills required to lead projects independently.
What You'll Do
· Support Lead Interior Designers in developing beautiful, functional luxury homes.
· Assist with furniture, lighting, textile, wallpaper, finish, and accessory selections.
· Research products, materials, and design solutions.
· Prepare client presentations, lookbooks, and visual materials.
· Create and update floor plans, elevations, lighting plans, electrical plans, renderings, and construction documentation.
· Assist with space planning and project measurements.
· Coordinate revisions and maintain project documentation.
· Prepare proposals, specifications, and project notes.
· Organize samples, finish materials, and presentation boards.
· Maintain accurate project information within Houzz and company systems.
· Participate in client meetings and client follow-up communication.
· Coordinate with builders, architects, vendors, and internal departments.
· Support project installations and job site preparation.
· Help ensure projects remain organized, on schedule, and executed to Semmelmann Interiors' standards.
We're Looking For Someone Who Has
· 2–5 years of interior design experience preferred.
· Degree in Interior Design or related field preferred.
· Experience with luxury residential design is a plus.
· Strong understanding of residential construction documentation and detailing.
· Experience with CAD, design software, rendering software, and Microsoft Office.
· Excellent organizational and project management skills.
· Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
· Confidence interacting professionally with clients, builders, and trade partners.
· Exceptional attention to detail.
· A positive attitude with a servant's heart and a desire to learn.
· The ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
