What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Elder Services position at Seminole Tribe of Florida?
The incumbent in this position is responsible for the overall leadership, development, organization, management, operation, and implementation of Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Elder Services Department. The individual is responsible for creating and implementing a Needs Assessment, monitoring and evaluating total program and program components to ensure goals and objectives are being met effectively, as well as recognizing areas for improvement. Ensures coordination across departments, disciplines, and services to deliver effective program operation. Plans, initiates, innovates, and implements the use of resources and services, to attend the immediate needs of the Elder community and provide adequate assistance based on their living environment. This incumbent is required to build, foster, and maintain open communication and interaction within the broader Tribal Community.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field is required. Minimum of five (5) years of experience working in elderly services in a high level supervisory and administrative capacity; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered. Possession of a valid Florida driver’s license is required. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communications skills. Demonstrate proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and Outlook. Ability to travel and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
