Responsibilities

DESCRIPTION

The part-time Project Coordinator provides administrative, technical, and programmatic support for the Child Care Access Means Parents in School (CCAMPIS) grant initiative. This position plays a key role in assisting student-parents by coordinating childcare support, maintaining student records, facilitating workshops, and ensuring smooth collaboration with internal and external partners, including the Early Learning Coalition of Seminole.

Essential Functions

  • Administrative and technical support to project leadership, ensuring effective implementation of CCAMPIS program activities for participants (low income and student parents).
  • Maintains accurate and confidential project records, student data, and reports in compliance with federal and institutional guidelines.
  • Serve as a point of contact for student-parents, assisting with college information, campus resources, and referrals to appropriate student support services.
  • Coordinates, schedules, and facilitate workshops and information sessions designed to support the academic success and well-being of student-parents.
  • Attends monthly project and partner meetings to provide updates, share progress, and assist with planning initiatives.
  • Assists in the creation and management of a parent support group, fostering community and connection among student-parents.
  • Supports childcare placement and ensures families have access to high-quality childcare options, in collaboration with the Early Learning Coalition and other community partners.
  • Assists with program data collection, evaluation, and reporting to ensure compliance with CCAMPIS grant requirements.
  • Support program outreach and communication efforts, including developing materials and maintaining contact lists.
  • Perform other duties as may be required or assigned.


Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree from a regionally or nationally accredited institution.
  • One year of professional experience in one or more of the following areas: college student advising, outreach or working with student populations similar to those identified in the grant (low-income, student parent). Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the ability to become proficient with videoconferencing applications, including Teams/Zoom.
  • Proficiency in data entry, record keeping, and using software such as student information systems.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to become knowledgeable of higher education resources, student services, and childcare access programs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced multi-priority environment.
  • Ability to treat confidential information with sensitivity.
  • Ability to successfully develop and manage relationships at all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders.
  • Ability to exhibit a professional, courteous demeanor.
  • Committed to working in a multicultural environment.


WORK ENVIRONMENT And SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS

  • Works in an office environment.
  • May work occasional evenings or weekends.
  • May travel between campuses and to community partners or childcare sites.

Pay Benefits And Work Schedule

$21.00 hourly up to 26 hours per week.

This is a grant funded position The anticipated end date of this grant is September 30, 2029, and the duration is based on the continued funding availability of the grant

Conditions of Employment

Finalists and individuals recommended for employment at Seminole State College must reside in the State of Floridaat the time of hire and may be subject to background investigations and fingerprinting in compliance with Florida Statute 1001.64; and Seminole State College Policy 1.020; 2.020. Criminal background checks and fingerprinting will be conducted for all new employees, and for rehired employees who have had a break in service for one year or more. The Office of Human Resources will determine which background checks shall be conducted for each position, based upon its review of job descriptions and the responsibilities of the position. These include, but are not limited to, positions that have access to money, master keys, security-sensitive areas and confidential information; positions that have the capability to create, delete, and alter records; and positions that are responsible for the care and instruction of children. The College will conduct various types of background checks which may include, but are not limited to: criminal background, credit check, driver's license check, previous employment and references.
