Overview
The incumbent in this position is responsible for developing cross-network strategies for digital efforts at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain. This role includes social media strategy, paid media strategy including SEO/SEM, content planning, content curation, engagement strategy, and editorial development. Additionally, this person works closely with the Advertising Manager, Public Relations Manager, Director of Marketing, VP of Marketing and other department heads, directors and managers on property to develop social and content strategies that make effective use of the Hard Rock's digital presence. These efforts must also compliment traditional marketing, advertising, and public relations plans. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, this position supports the Marketing Department in executing initiatives to increase and enhance the reputation of Hard Rock among key stakeholders by gaining positive digital media exposure locally, regionally and nationally. Team player who is able to work with multiple departments while also being an independent contributor.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to make Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain their choice for gaming, dining & entertainment; responsible for actively building and retaining guest relations and acts as a mentor to team members in order to provide superior guest service.
- Hires, motivates, evaluates and directs departmental staff, ensuring team members receive the training, support, adequate guidance and necessary resources to accomplish established objectives.
- Prepares department operating budget and manages department within that budget once it is approved.
- Work with team members to identify department equipment and software needs and submits recommendations to VP of Marketing.
- Develop and lead social engagement strategies both on the property website and across the breadth of social media platforms to maximize their effective use to promote Hard Rock, its Players Club, promotions, entertainment, special events, community efforts, food & beverage outlets and all other amenities.
- Provide regular updates to senior management within the property, ensuring goals are being met and providing recommendations when necessary.
- Monitor and report platform updates, bugs or changes that affect day-to-day execution or overall digital presence and maturation.
- Track performance of social media campaigns and content across multiple communities.
- Report and communicate key learnings with Hard Rock team members, management and stakeholders.
- Proficiency and creative design experience with image resizing and audio/video editing programs including Adobe Photoshop, iMovie, and Sound Studio.
- Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
- Attend and participate in meetings, completing follow-up as assigned.
- Attend and participate in off property functions and events as assigned.
- Perform work regularly and predictably.
- Attend seminars when needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
(Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis)

- 3 to 5 years in a similar position and a Bachelor's in Business, Marketing or related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
- Experience in the social and digital space with a deep understanding of social platforms and how to build integrated plans across a wide network that map back to goals including reach, engagement, and clickthroughs.
- Keen understanding of monetization strategies and how to apply those strategies for advertising promotions.
- Experience using paid media to complement earned media campaigns and meet business objectives.
- Ability to develop and create content.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc):

- Must obtain and maintain valid licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations.
- Must successfully pass background check.
- Must successfully pass drug screening.
- Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
- Prior experience in the Gaming industry strongly preferred.
- Prior experience in Tribal Gaming preferred.

KNOWLEDGE OF:

- Marketing functions including, but not limited to data base, advertising and branding.
- Understanding of and experience in the property's local and regional gaming market.
- Procedures, methods, and equipment including computers and applicable software applications such as word processing, email, spreadsheets, and databases to include excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations.
- Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Google , Trip Advisor, Yelp, Periscope and blogs.
- Online advertising tactics including banner ad variations, contextual ads, blogs, social networking, viral, and non-traditional techniques.
- Goal orientation with experience meeting revenue and campaign performance targets.
- Excellent strategic marketing, brand marketing and integrated marketing skills.
- Excellent planning, analytical, conceptual and organizational skills.
- Excellent writing and grammatical skills.
- Web development processes and best practices.
- Public Relations a plus.

- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
- Be flexible to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed.
- This position spends time on the Casino floor and is subject to varying levels of crowds and noise, and the severity of which depends upon guest volume.
