Overview
The Facility Maintenance Technician serves a critical position in ensuring our facilities and grounds are safe, functional and well-maintained by performing routine upkeep, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems while managing preventative maintenance, coordinating contractors, and responding to emergencies to maintain equipment and facility uptime. This role is essential to sustaining facility appearance, regulatory compliance, and long-term asset reliability through proactive maintenance practices.
Responsibilities
- Complete daily checklists for production, preventive maintenance, calibration, and ensure compliance with regulatory and safety requirements
- Assist with facility renovations and upgrades
- Assist in installing new equipment and labeling components and parts
- Complete routine maintenance tasks on facility equipment and support equipment
- Operate forklifts and other industrial vehicles (training and certification provided)
- Maintain the work area to be clean, safe, and organized
- Record maintenance activities, assigned tasks, and PMs in database
- Support companywide initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
- Coordinate and escort contractors; assist with permits, LOTO, and site access as required
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent required. Vo-Tech or trade school experience preferred
- 3 years of industry or maintenance experience, preferably with a background in equipment operation maintenance or fabrication such as petrochemical, refining, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, or other regulated manufacturing environments
- Experience interpreting detailed operating instructions and safety protocols such as LOTO and confined space entry
- Knowledge of best practice maintenance procedures such as predictive maintenance and remote monitoring a plus
- Computer skills such as Excel, Word, and Outlook a plus
- Experience with CMMS systems preferred
- Applicants with additional skill sets such as welding, fabrication, engineering, electrical, HVAC, automation, rotating equipment maintenance, and instrumentation or calibration experience are given preference where applicable
- Experience with process utilities (UHP gas systems, RO/DI water), industrial controls or PLC troubleshooting, and reliability-based maintenance practices is also highly valued
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs., operate mobile equipment, and be able to wear a respirator
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
