Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Customer Account Specialist to join our team at SemiLink Materials. This role serves as the critical link between our customers, internal operations, and logistics partners. You will manage everything from order entry through delivery confirmation with our customers, ensuring timely fulfillment, clear communication, and excellent customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers on order confirmation, order status, shipping updates, general inquiries, complaints, and service issues
- Receive and process orders into the customers’ ERP system with accuracy and efficiency
- Execute procedures and checklists as required by ISO 9001
- Understand customer specifications and match customer part IDs in POs to SemiLink part IDs to ensure the correct product is produced and delivered
- Initiate order execution in SemiLink Materials systems
- Confirm product availability, lead times, pricing, and estimated shipping schedules for each order
- Coordinate with the customer and shipping partners to ensure timely delivery and issue resolution including but not limited to, collaborating with over-the-road transporters, freight forwarders
- Become the in-house expert on DOT shipping regulations for hazardous goods
- Track all shipping costs to ensure we are billed correctly and periodically create bid packages to solicit pricing from shipping companies to reduce costs
- Available to provide customer support during standard business hours to ensure timely and consistent customer experience
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with cross-functional, and remote, teams
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
- 3 years of experience in a customer service or supply chain coordination role
- Minimum of Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or three-plus years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. A bachelor’s degree is a plus
- Industry experience in semiconductor, chemical, or high-purity materials preferred
- ERP/MRP experience (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar system)
- Familiarity with shipping platforms and logistics providers (FedEx, DHL, freight brokers)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
