Manufacturing Test Technician

Job Description: QualiTau Inc is seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual for the position of Manufacturing Test Technician. This position supports our Manufacturing/Production group, including all aspects of operations, maintenance, testing and repair of electrical and mechanical assemblies. Provides support to all production activities utilizing both electrical and mechanical skills.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

· Inspect, diagnose, and evaluate QualiTau products

· Assemble, integrate, test and calibrate QualiTau products in accordance with product acceptance test procedure standards

· Follow up, prepare and store data documentation

· Troubleshoot electronic circuitry down to components level

· Ensure timely order’s release

· Use various types of measuring equipment such as digital meters, parametric testers, vision systems, test fixtures, etc

· Fully test customer orders, RMAs and manage related operations documentation and procedures

· Promotes a safe work environment and provides recommendations to improve test processes

· Works and interacts with manufacturing, engineering, materials, and customer service groups

· Program, configure, troubleshoot, and test various subsystems as part of comprehensive component qualification testing

  • Collaborate with engineers to execute the assembly and test processes and provide feedback for design and process improvements
  • Perform acceptance testing of full systems in preparation for shipment to the customer
  • Identify and troubleshoot failures and coordinating reworks as necessary
  • Follow planned schedules and provide on-time status updates
  • Compile production records for compliance and accuracy
  • Maintain test fixtures and tooling
  • Align, fit, or assembles high precision components, using hand or power tools, fixtures, and other assembly aids as needed
  • Verify correct components issued to customer orders
  • Maintain accurate material documentation and traceability associated builds
  • Identify quality issues such as NCMR's, complaints, and CARS for multiple parts and assemblies
  • Follow all quality, safety, and housekeeping practices
  • Other duties as assigned

Additional Duties: Support Product Engineers on day to day activities as needed.

Skills and Knowledge (2-5 years):

  • Knowledge of analog and digital electronics, transistor theory, and basic mechanic’s tools.
  • Experience in working with and reading, specifications, drawings, diagrams, and schematics.
  • Ability to trouble-shoot and repair problems down to component level analog and digital circuits (i.e. look at drawings and/or listen to descriptions of problems and then determine the root of the problem)
  • Ability to process moderately complex, repetitive testing, trouble-shooting, and proto-typing projects
  • Stay up to date on new functionality and work with engineering teams to describe behaviors and symptoms identifying issues before they are experienced by end users

General Requirements:

· Associates Degree in Electronics and related field with 2- 5 years of related experience or a BS in Mechantronics or related mechanical/electrical field

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to follow directions and work in a safety-conscious, dynamic, project-driven environment

· Must be willing and able to work flexible hours when required; and demonstrate the ability to perform multiple operations and/or projects simultaneously.

· Must be able to bend, carry, lift, push and pull 45 pounds

· No visa sponsorship will be provided. The candidate must have an authorization to work in the United States

Job Type: FULL TIME – Temp-to-hire after 3 months

Schedule: M-F (8hr shift) with occasional weekend overtime as needed

Pay: From $30.00 per hour
