Responsibilities
Conduct detailed medical eye examinations for new and returning patients
- Evaluate visual function and detect ocular and systemic health conditions
- Diagnose and co-manage ocular diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy
- Prescribe and fit corrective lenses as needed
- Collaborate closely with Dr. Jane Semel and the broader medical team to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Maintain accurate records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Educate patients on findings, treatment options, and preventive eye care
Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure to practice optometry
- Experience or strong interest in medical optometry and ocular disease management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team-based environment
Salary : $75,000 - $130,000
