Summary / Objective
We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Fabricator to join our production team, specializing in the custom fabrication and upfitting of semi-trailers. This role combines MIG welding, riveting, basic carpentry, and mechanical assembly to build high-quality products from the ground up. Candidates must be detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and capable of critical thinking to solve challenges in a fast-paced, custom-manufacturing environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Fabrication and upfitting of custom semi-trailers
- MIG welding of steel frames and structural components
- Riveting and mechanical assembly of trailer parts and panels
- Basic carpentry work including measuring, cutting, and fitting wood and composite materials
- Installation of hydraulic systems (both rigid and flexible lines)
- Air system installation (lines, valves, brakes)
- Frame fabrication, axle mounting, and structural component alignment
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and production documentation
- Operate and maintain fabrication tools including saws, grinders, rivet guns, and welding equipment
- Work both independently and as part of a team to meet production deadlines

Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 2 years of relevant fabrication, welding, trailer-building, or carpentry experience preferred
Preferred but Not Required Experience
- Manual solid stock bending
- Hydraulic system setup and diagnostics
- Trailer wiring and basic electrical troubleshooting
Work Environment
- Active manufacturing shop environment
- Frequent exposure to loud noise, airborne particles, and heavy machinery
- PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required on-site
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs regularly
- Must be on feet for 8-hour shifts or longer
- Climbing ladders, operating forklifts or cranes, and using hand/power tools daily
- Capable of physical labor in varying temperatures and conditions
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour
