What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Clinical Therapist Supervisor position at Selva Wellness Collective?
Position Overview
The Licensed Clinical Supervisor at Selva Wellness Collective is a dual-impact role designed for an experienced clinician who is passionate about both high-level direct care and the professional development of the next generation of therapists. This role combines a clinical caseload (adolescents, adults, and families) with the primary responsibility of supervising provisionally licensed clinicians (LPC-Associates, LMSWs, or LMFT-Associates). You will serve as a clinical pillar within the collective, ensuring the highest standards of care while fostering a culture of learning, ethical excellence, and holistic well-being.
Responsibilities
- Clinical Supervision: Provide weekly individual and/or group supervision to provisionally licensed clinicians. Review clinical documentation, monitor ethical compliance, and guide supervisees in developing their clinical identity and niche expertise.
- Direct Clinical Service: Maintain a professional caseload of virtual and on-site counseling sessions in accordance with company policies.
- Mentorship & Leadership: Model advanced clinical skills and professional conduct. Facilitate biweekly clinical consultations and contribute to the collective’s educational initiatives.
- Administrative Oversight: Ensure supervisees remain compliant with Texas state board requirements and Selva’s internal documentation standards.
- Collaborative Care Coordination: Oversee complex cases within your supervisees' caseloads and coordinate with external treatment teams (e.g., psychiatrists, dietitians) to ensure integrated support.
- Practice Growth: Lead or contribute to community outreach, workshops, and continuing education efforts to enhance the collective's reputation as a premier training site.
- Professional Conduct: Ensure all supervised activities and personal practice strictly abide by Texas state laws, HIPAA regulations, and professional codes of ethics.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or Social Work.
- Licensure: Active, unrestricted license (LPC, LCSW, or LMFT) in the State of Texas with a formal Supervisor Designation (e.g., LPC-S, LCSW-S, or LMFT-S).
- Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of post-licensure clinical experience, with a proven track record in a variety of therapeutic settings.
- Clinical Focus: Possession of a clear "niche" area of expertise (e.g., couples/partners, 2SLGBTQ , trauma-informed care, etc.) to offer specialized mentorship.
- Values Alignment: Deep commitment to Selva’s mission, vision, and values with a sophisticated understanding of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) as it applies to both therapy and supervision.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to provide constructive feedback and engage in direct, transparent dialogue regarding clinical and interpersonal dynamics.
Key CompetenciesTo thrive within our collective, the ideal candidate will demonstrate the following core competencies:
- Supervisory Excellence: Ability to balance gatekeeping responsibilities with a supportive, developmental approach to mentorship.
- Clinical Depth & Wisdom: Brings extensive professional practice and personal lived experience to provide nuanced guidance on complex cases.

- Leadership Agility: Self-motivated and highly organized; capable of managing personal administrative duties while overseeing the growth of others.
- Inclusive Mentorship: Culturally competent supervisor who prioritizes DEI principles in the supervision room and helps supervisees navigate cultural humility.
