Job Summary
Reporting to the Logistics Supervisor, the CDL Driver will be responsible for delivering Seltzer's products regionally using a tractor trailer from our facility in Palmyra. This requires excellent driving skills as well as an individual who keeps clean, organized records and possesses strong people skills.

Reporting to the Logistics Supervisor, the CDL Driver will be responsible for delivering Seltzer's products regionally using a tractor trailer from our facility in Palmyra. This requires excellent driving skills as well as an individual who keeps clean, organized records and possesses strong people skills.
Responsibilities
- Performs safety checks of brakes, tires, steering column, lights and mirrors on the tractor prior to each leg of the journey to ensure road readiness
- Performs safety checks of the brakes, tires, lights, air systems, flooring components, roof components, sidewalls, reefer unit and rear guard on the trailer prior to each leg of the journey to ensure road readiness and product integrity
- Accurately recording drive times as well as delivery times
- Assist in unloading cargo when delivery sites are understaffed, maintaining product quality throughout transportation
- Adhere to traffic safety regulations at all times and exercise caution in treacherous circumstances
- Prompt communication of any delays or issues to Plant Manager and Warehouse Supervisor.
- Count product during loading and/or unloading to ensure physical count matches Bill of Lading or Invoices.
- High school diploma or GED
- CDL License
- Two years of experience working as a CDL driver with no legal or safety incidents on record
- Strong people skills – You are the last face the customer sees as a representative of the company
- Willingness to comply with regulations and rules
- Consistency and truthfulness in keeping organized logs and reports
- Some degree of mechanical skills which may be needed when collaborating with maintenance
- Ability to adapt to new technologies
- Math skills for calculating bills of lading and for understanding customer documentation
- Ability to operation Material Handling Equipment or Manual Pallet Jack
- Able to lift, push and/or move items up to 75 pounds on a repetitive basis.
- Able to work normal and/or extended (evenings, nights, weekends, holidays) office hours to meet established deadlines.
