Seltser and Goldstein public adjusters is a 4th generation Family business with over 30 employees. We understand the needs of our clients and diligently strive to ensure that we consistently deliver a quality, accurate work product in an expedient manner. When our client suffers a casualty loss to their home or business our job is to accurately inventory and ascertain all damages to the building and personal property.
About the Role
We’re hiring a Contents Adjuster to join our team in an in-office, customer-facing role. This position is ideal for someone who communicates clearly and confidently, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes ownership of their work. If you have general insurance experience, strong customer service skills, and you’re eager to learn and grow, we want to meet you.
What You’ll Do
- Perform & review comprehensive inventories of salvageable and non-salvageable contents.
- Document property conditions with photos, descriptions, and valuation research.
- Provide clear explanations to insureds regarding the process and expectations.
- Negotiate claim directly with insurance carrier.
- Communicate effectively with customers, carriers, vendors, and internal teams
- Provide clear updates and set expectations throughout the claims process
- Review documentation, estimate contents losses, and support settlement resolution
- Maintain accurate claim files and ensure compliance with internal procedures
- Identify issues early, escalate when needed, and help drive timely outcomes
- Deliver a high-quality customer experience while staying accountable to results
What We’re Looking For
- Strong communication skills — written and verbal
- General insurance experience (claims experience preferred)
- Proven customer service background and ability to work with a wide range of personalities
- Highly accountable — you follow through and take ownership
- Quick learner who adapts well to change and processes
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple claims at once
- Comfortable working in an in-office environment and collaborating with a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
