Role Description:
Position: Property Claims Adjuster
Location: Peabody, MA
Job Overview:
As a Property Claims Adjuster at Seltser & Goldstein, you will play a crucial role in investigating claims, assessing damages, maintaining effective communication with clients and insurance companies, negotiating settlements, and delivering outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Investigate property damage claims thoroughly and accurately.
- Evaluate damages and prepare detailed estimates for covered losses, including those exceeding $100,000.
- Communicate professionally and proactively with policyholders, stakeholders, and insurance companies.
- Collaborate with clients and internal team members to facilitate claims resolution.
- Utilize Xactimate software to streamline the claims handling process.
- Oversee and direct vendors involved in mitigation and inspections during property claims adjustments.
- Set clear and accurate expectations regarding the length and progress of claims.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge and prior experience in property damage claims handling and insurance.
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently while also fostering teamwork and collaboration.
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills to resolve complex issues.
- Experience in public adjusting or related fields is advantageous.
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred but not required.
