What You’ll Lead
- Working closely with HR to champion our safety culture across mining, contracting, and transportation operations
- Ensure full compliance with MSHA, OSHA, DOT/FMCSA, Clearinghouse, and other regulatory bodies
- Develop and implement advanced safety programs, audits, and training initiatives
- Lead incident investigations with a root‑cause mindset and a prevention‑first approach
- Partner with operations leadership to embed safety into planning, execution, and performance metrics
- Drive continuous improvement through data analysis, trend identification, and proactive risk mitigation
- Serve as a trusted advisor and coach to supervisors, operators, and field teams
- Represent the company during regulatory inspections and external audits
What You Bring
- Deep working knowledge of MSHA Part 46/48, OSHA 29 CFR, DOT/FMCSA, and Clearinghouse requirements
- Experience in mining, heavy civil, construction, or transportation safety
- A proven track record of elevating safety performance and influencing culture
- Strong communication skills — from the boardroom to the jobsite
- Ability to lead with confidence, empathy, and accountability
- Certifications such as CSP, CMSP, OHST, CHST, or equivalent (preferred)
- A mindset that blends compliance, innovation, and operational practicality
