Sellers Contracting Services, a highly successful provider of grading, utility, and plumbing services, is searching for an experienced and licensed utility construction manager to oversee sitework construction projects. Our reputation for superior standards, impeccable safety record and state-of-the-art equipment pushes our bids above our competition.
The role involves planning, coordinating, and executing all sitework-related activities such as grading, excavation, utilities, and roadwork, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications. This manager will be responsible for approximately seventy-five employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and ensure that all sitework activities align with project timelines and milestones.
- Team Management: Supervise and coordinate the work of site leaders.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all sitework (e.g., excavation, earthwork, grading, stormwater management, utility installation) adheres to engineering plans, local codes, and quality standards.
- Resource Management: Ensure proper allocation of resources to meet project needs.
- Safety Compliance: Ensue managers are adhering to safety rules, policies, and procedures.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to site conditions, weather, or scheduling, and implement strategies to mitigate them.
- Communication: Function as the main point of contact between clients, stakeholders, and the construction team.
- Problem Solving: Troubleshoot issues that arise during construction, such as design conflicts or resource shortages, and implement effective solutions.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of sitework activities, change orders, budget updates, and compliance reports.
Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in sitework/civil construction management.
- Strong knowledge of earthworks, grading, utilities, and drainage systems.
- Proficient in project management software
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to interpret construction blueprints, engineering plans, and specifications.
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations related to sitework and land development.
- Strong understanding of budget management and cost control.
- Ability to work in a challenging environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Salary commensurate with experience. We have the estimation, costing, and execution of the projects team. We need to add a successful leader to manage the entire process.
