The Technology Operations Deployment Technician is a temporary, full-time role within the Sellen Information Technology team created to support a planned transition to Windows 11 across company-issued laptops and desktops. This position is responsible for the technical execution of the device deployment process, including imaging, configuration, and end-user setup. Devices will be enrolled in Microsoft Intune, configured according to company standards, and prepared for use across multiple locations, including both office and active construction sites.
The position is located in South Lake Union full-time. The duration of employment is from May - October 31st.
Your Qualifications
- 1-2 years of IT support or technical experience, ideally in a desktop support or device deployment role, where you've worked with Windows operating systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
KNOWLEDGE
- Knowledge of Windows 10/11 operating systems, including installation, imaging, and configuration.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Intune for device enrollment, policy application, and software installation.
- Understanding of Azure Active Directory user authentication.
- Working knowledge of basic networking concepts (e.g., IP configuration, Wi-Fi/Ethernet setup).
- Understanding of user profile setup, application installation, and system customization.
- Familiarity with supporting IT environments in construction or field-based settings.
TRAVEL REQUIRED
- Occasional travel to job sites. Valid driver’s license and compliance with Sellen’s driving policy required.
SKILLS
- Proficient in imaging and deploying devices in an enterprise IT environment.
- Basic troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for resolving hardware and software issues.
- Strong user-facing skills, with a focus on delivering a smooth and supportive onboarding experience for end users.
- Managing time effectively, prioritizing tasks, and completing deployments within established project timelines.
- Self-directed and capable of working with minimal supervision, especially when performing deployments at remote job sites.
- Attention to detail in following procedures, documenting work, and maintaining consistency.
The full range for this position is $27/hr to $33/hr. New hires typically start between $27/hr to $30/hr, depending on direct professional experience and qualifications.
