Key Responsibilities
- Own and administer payroll through Gusto, including processing pay runs, managing deductions, and resolving payroll issues
- Serve as the primary HRIS owner, ensuring employee data is accurate, current, and properly maintained
- Manage system updates related to new hires, terminations, promotions, and compensation changes
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal payroll and employment requirements
- Support local hiring efforts by coordinating job postings, scheduling interviews, and managing candidate logistics
- Own the onboarding process for all US-based team members, from offer acceptance through first weeks on the job
- Work closely with the global HR team to align US processes with broader company HR practices and policies
- Maintain accurate employee records and documentation in compliance with company policy and legal requirements
- Act as a point of contact for US employees on HR administrative questions (payroll, benefits enrollment logistics, policies, etc.)
- Experience administering payroll, ideally with Gusto or a similar platform
- Experience owning or managing an HRIS system
- Strong understanding of US employment/payroll compliance basics
- Experience supporting hiring and onboarding processes end-to-end
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing sensitive/confidential information
- Strong communicator, comfortable collaborating with a distributed, global team
- Prior experience in an HR generalist, HR administrator, or HR coordinator role
