Hardware Engineering Technician I

As a Hardware Engineering Technician, a typical day might include the following: Perform basic electronic hardware tests in accordance with defined engineering procedures or guidelines under the direction of engineers or more experienced technicians. Build engineering prototypes under the direction of an electrical engineer. Document prototype construction and maintain pertinent engineering records. Assist engineers in the evaluation of new electronic components. Design and assemble test fixtures and other components common to product development. Provide support to engineering staff as needed. Process Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) of modest complexity under the direction of engineers or more experienced technicians. Required Qualifications Two-year electronic technology or related associate degree Detail-oriented professional who enjoys board-level and system-level troubleshooting and performs in-depth analysis. You see yourself as an excellent troubleshooter who gets to the root cause on a self-directed basis with minimal external guidance. Proficient with the fundamentals of analog and digital circuits. Proficient with test equipment used in electronics labs. Strong organizational, documentation, and speaking skills. Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with Python, C, or assembly languages Experience with Advanced Test Equipment, O.S., and computer equipment Practical knowledge of 3-phase power systems Location Pullman, WA- SEL corporate office is located in Eastern Washington where you'll enjoy an unmatched quality of life. Our salary ranges are determined by job and responsibility. We base our starting pay offer and title on job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
