STI is a growing, locally and family-owned business that has been operating in the Colorado fuel transportation industry for over 20 years. We began in 2005 with just one truck and trailer and have since grown to a fleet of 30 power units! We have 50 employees including a supportive office staff that value each other, our integrity and our culture above all else.
We are currently seeking qualified drivers to grow with us! In this position you will load, transport, and deliver a variety of petroleum products to a diverse customer base in Colorado and surrounding states. We have both regional and local positions available and offer several different schedule options. We are also proud offer late-model Peterbilt , Kenworth and Freightliner equipment, with both manual and automatic transmissions. We have late model Heil tank trailers as well. We also offer a competitive benefits package for all drivers.
Ideal candidates will have the following qualifications:
- Valid Class A license with tanker and hazmat endorsements
- Minimum of two years of commercial Class A tractor/trailer driving experience. Fuel or bulk liquid experience is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of 21 years of age
- Ability to pass regular DOT drug screening, DOT medical examinations and background checks
- Minimum of 2 years of acceptable MVR/driving record
- Knowledge of and ability to comply with all DOT, OSHA and company safety regulations
- Keen safety awareness and ethical decision making skills
- Ability to interact with customers, drivers and other co-workers in a professional and courteous manner at all times
- Ability to operate and maintain legal electronic log data, or paper logs when needed
- Ability to work and drive in all traffic and weather conditions
-Ability to drive in mountainous terrain
- Ability to work 12 hour shifts, 55-70 hours a week
- Ability to sit and drive for extended periods of time
- Ability to climb in and out of a truck multiple times a day, on top of trailers or other equipment when needed
- Ability to lift, carry, push or pull up 75 lbs
Job Description:
- Complete pre and post trip inspections daily, communicate any necessary maintenance items to the appropriate personnel. Ensure all necessary equipment is safe to operate at all times.
- Load, transport and deliver each load in a safe and timely manner
- Monitor equipment, loading and unloading processes at all times
- Complete customer and company paperwork accurately, and turn in daily
- Local positions are required to communicate with slip-seat partners and maintain timely schedules
- Maintain and promote professional relationships with all co-workers, loading terminal personnel and customers
- Attend all required safety meetings, and any necessary loading terminal or other misc. driver training
- Maintain clean company uniforms and any necessary PPE when loading, driving or delivering
