Compliance Department Support Specialist

Selfreliance Federal Credit Union is seeking a Compliance Support Specialist who will play a vital role in assisting the credit union’s compliance department in ensuring adherence to federal and state regulations, internal policies, and industry best practices. This position supports daily compliance operations, monitors activities for potential regulatory risk, and provides administrative and reporting support to promote a strong culture of compliance across the credit union.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling data, documents, and reports.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• A collaborative and professional approach with the ability to work well across departments.
• High ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
• Previous experience in financial services, banking, or compliance support (preferred but not required).
• Fluency in English and basic conversational Ukrainian language skills are required.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Respond to internal inquiries regarding compliance procedures, escalating complex issues as appropriate.
• Provide administrative and operational support to the Compliance Officer and other team members.
• Maintain accurate compliance-related documentation and records in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
• Support compliance testing, audits, and reviews by gathering documentation and preparing reports.
• Assist in maintaining and updating compliance policies, procedures, and training materials.
• Research regulatory changes and help communicate updates to relevant departments.
• Contribute to fostering a strong compliance culture throughout the credit union.
