Summary of position
Responsible for ensuring safe and efficient snow removal from roads, parking lots, sidewalks, and other designated areas. This role is critical to maintaining access and safety during winter weather conditions.
Responsibilities
Operate snow plows, salt spreaders, and other snow removal equipment safely and efficiently.
Clear snow and ice from assigned areas, including roadways, driveways, parking lots, and walkways.
Monitor weather conditions and respond promptly when snow or ice removal services are required.
Apply salt, sand, or de-icing materials as needed to ensure safe surfaces.
Inspect and maintain equipment before and after use, reporting any mechanical issues immediately.
Adhere to all safety protocols and traffic laws while operating equipment.
Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding job status and any challenges encountered.
Qualifications/Skills
Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required).
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, depending on weather conditions.
Ability to work in cold, wet, and hazardous weather conditions for extended periods.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Education And Experience Requirements
Previous experience operating snow plows or heavy machinery preferred.
