Location: Saginaw, MI

Pay: $17.00/per hour

Shift: Day Shift 8am - 5pm

Reports To: Warehouse Manager and Yard Forman

Summary: The Yard Receiver is responsible for assembling store orders, processing, checking, verifying and inventorying materials received & shipped from the warehouse. The Yard Receiver coordinates materials and finished goods, storage and inventory levels with the production personnel such as the Yard Forman and the Warehouse Manager. They move these materials and finish goods to appropriate storage areas by using a fork truck. The Yard Receiver always ensures that shipping and receiving functions are completed on time and in accordance with company standards and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Process materials that are received and move the materials to storage areas to prepare for later shipments.
• Identify any shipping errors or discrepancies
• Report any damaged or missing goods to Yard Foreman or Warehouse Manager
• Assemble store orders and prepare goods for shipment
• Meets deadlines and ensures that outgoing orders and shipments are completed in full and are correct
• Ensures that all work areas and storage areas are clean, safe and well maintained
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Minimum of one or more years of experience with a Hi-Lo
• Knowledge of the lumber/hardware industry is a plus
• Understanding of shipping and receiving procedures and standards
• Good organizational, quality control and communication skills

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift upwards of 10lbs. constantly, 20lbs frequently and/or up to 50lbs. occasionally
• Mostly Outdoor Receiving. Can be in inclement weather at times
• Repetitive motion constantly including, stooping, reaching, lifting and walking.
