What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Care Technician I, Full Time, 8 Tower, PCU, Nights position at Self Regional?
7pm-7:30am, To include every other weekend
Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, performs specific assigned duties in providing patient care for telemetry patients in accordance with
established SRH and Nursing Services Policies and Standard Work. Functions in a supportive role to communicate patient care needs and resolve
work-related issues. Performs any other job-related duties as requested by Nurse Manager or Department Director.
Qualifications
High School graduate or equivalent.
S.C Nurse Aide Certification OR passed fundamentals in RN/LPN school OR completed Surg Tech or EMT course OR completed 2-year Health Science Technology Program OR completed Patient Care Tech course OR successfully completed the SRH PCT program, OR Graduate of an accredited nursing assistant program, certification eligible. Must achieve certification within 3 months of hire. BLS certified.
